Accelerated Medical Assistant Program
Our Medical Assistant students attend both in-person and online classes. Our hybrid program consist of a combination of in-person and online lectures and labs. Our curriculum and educational approach provides a flexible, affordable and achievable option for individuals who want to further their education.

A medical assistant program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a competent and valuable member of a healthcare team.
Program Overview:
Our Program aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to assist healthcare professionals in various medical settings. Our Accelerated Program takes 12 weeks to complete.
Curriculum:
The program curriculum covers a wide range of topics relevant to medical assisting. These may include:
1. Medical Terminology: Students learn the language and terminology used in healthcare settings to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers.
2. Anatomy and Physiology: Students study the structure and function of the human body, including organ systems, and gain an understanding of how they interrelate.
3. Medical Office Procedures: Students learn essential administrative skills, such as managing patient records, scheduling appointments, handling billing and insurance claims, and maintaining a medical office environment.
4. Medical Law and Ethics: Students explore legal and ethical considerations specific to the healthcare field, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional boundaries.
5. Clinical Procedures: Students are trained in basic clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, assisting with physical examinations, performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), collecting and processing laboratory specimens, and administering medications under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
6. Pharmacology: Students gain an understanding of commonly used medications, their classifications, dosage calculations, and proper administration techniques.
7. Medical Assisting Specialties: Depending on the program, students may receive specialized training in areas such as phlebotomy (blood drawing), medical coding and billing, medical transcription, or medical office management.
8. Professional Development: Students learn professional communication skills, patient interaction techniques, and the importance of maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor in a healthcare setting.
Clinical Externship:
Our Accelerated Medical Assistant program include a clinical externship component, where students have the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in a real healthcare setting. During this hands-on experience, students work under the supervision of healthcare professionals and gain practical exposure to the day-to-day operations of a medical facility.
Certification:
Upon completion of our accelerated medical assistant program, students may be eligible to sit for a certification examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or other recognized credentials. Certification is optional but can enhance job prospects and demonstrate competency to employers.
Career Outlook:
Graduates of our medical assistant program can pursue employment in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, physician offices, and outpatient facilities. They may work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, performing administrative tasks, assisting with patient care, and contributing to the overall functioning of the healthcare team.
